Board Update; Farewell to Menno Helmus, Welcome to Johanna van der Meer
We would like to share an important update regarding the board of the Hospitainer Foundation. Unfortunately, due to health reasons, Menno Helmus has decided to step down from his position as board member.
We are deeply grateful for Menno’s dedication, wisdom, and the inspiration he brought to the team. His passion for humanitarian work and his steady presence have been invaluable to the foundation. Menno, thank you for all you have contributed. We wish you strength, rest, and recovery in the time ahead.
We are pleased to welcome Johanna van der Meer as his successor on the board. Johanna brings a broad experience from the nonprofit and humanitarian sector. She previously served as deputy director of Boat Refugee Foundation, where she was responsible for operations and further professionalisation. In addition to her nonprofit work, Johanna is active in politics, where she advocates for solidarity, justice, and humane policies.
With her strong sense of social responsibility, practical experience, and deep commitment to people who have no access to essential medical care, Johanna is a wonderful addition to our board. We look forward to working with her and benefiting from her insight and leadership as we continue our mission to bring medical care where it is needed most.
