A fresh start for the Hospitainer Foundation

The Hospitainer Foundation was established in 1996 with a clear and compassionate mission: to provide critical medical assistance to organizations operating in some of the most challenging environments—rural areas, conflict zones, and regions devastated by natural disasters. From its start, the foundation has been of support to Hospitainer bv., stepping in whenever there was a need for additional funding or essential supplies.

Over the years, we diligently worked towards achieving ANBI status, a milestone that marked our official recognition as a foundation eligible for donations as of 2020. This status not only affirms our commitment to transparency and impact but also opens up new opportunities for support.

As Hospitainer BV expanded its operations, so too did our vision for the foundation. We began to notice a growing number of requests from diverse organizations seeking assistance across various domains, that fitted the Foundations mission and vision. This increasing demand underscored the need for the Foundation to evolve and play a more proactive role. In 2023, we made a decision: the foundation would not just support projects but actively initiate and manage them, amplifying our impact and extending our reach to even more communities in need.

Recognizing the foundation’s potential, Sanne van Heusden started dedicating a few days a week to the foundation in the summer of 2023. What began as a part-time commitment quickly revealed itself to be just the start. The potential for the foundation was big, and the growing number of requests led to a full-time dedication.

With this new level of operation, it became clear that the foundation needed a stronger online presence to reflect its enhanced capabilities and outreach. A fresh, modern website was needed to communicate our mission, showcase our projects, and engage with our supporters more effectively. Over the past few months, we’ve been working behind the scenes to redesign our online platform. Today, we are thrilled to unveil our new Foundation website, a platform where you can stay informed, get involved, and witness the impact of our work.
